The Coastal Museum was founded in 1910 and has been located in Arsan Palace since 1973. In the archaeological collection of museums, the material remains of life on the island from prehistoric times until the late Middle Ages have been preserved. In the Ethnographic Collection you can see objects of everyday use, agricultural and fishing tools and local costumes from the 18th to 20th century. The cultural and historical material of the museum includes furniture, paintings, utensils, weapons and liturgical accessories born between the 18th and 18th centuries. 20th century, and medals, posters and coats of arms from the island of Cres. Some of the items come from the 16th century. In Numismatic Collections, you can see valuable copies of money dating from the period between the 2nd and 20th centuries. The name is worth a valuable collection of books and printed materials. Most of these written works come from the funds of the families of Buničić, Koljevina and Moise, from the 16th to 20th century.
