The historical city of Trogir is situated on a small island between the Croatian mainland and the island of Ciovo. It is situated 27 kilometres (17 miles) from Split, the second largest city in Croatia and the capital of Dalmatia. The most prominent building in Trogir is undoubtedly the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. Its main portal is a masterpiece of sculptor known as master Radovan and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia. Trogir is connected to all major European cities by its well-organized infrastructure of air, road, and maritime companies. Airport Split is only 7 km away, which makes Trogir an ideal holiday destination.
